Cakewalk 8.04 Crack `8.04
Version 8.04 and the Roland TD20 Midi Porblem I have Cakewalk version 8 patched to 8.04. It is running on my IBM ThinkPad t40 with a midisport USB interface. I am recording the MIDI out from my Roland TD-20 drum module.

It records fine. When I play back I hear nothing. I have spent a hour on the phone with Roland, they can't figure it out. They think it is a cake walk issue.
I can take the same output and connect it to a cheap Casio keyboard and it works fine. I also can take that same Casio keyboard and plug it into the Roland and trigger keyboard sounds. I have tried all channels, swapping outputs and cables, all of the obvious stuff, nothing.
Any thought would be greatly appreciated. (For all you Seinfeld fans.) You have to trace the problem. (By the way Home Studio Version 8 is very OLD.) By 'It records fine.'
I assume you mean you have verified that the MIDI data was recorded by viewing the Event view. Now how are you trying to play it back? On the TD-20 drum module? That's the only way you can play it back on HS8 unless you recorded to an audio track. Do you know how MIDI works?
I'll assume you have MIDI cables plugged into the TD-20s MIDI IN and MIDI OUT jacks. If so, then is the TD-20 set to receive MIDI data?
On what channel? It has to be receiving on the same channel you're sending it on. This is way too much guesswork. This is not rocket science. You said it is definitely recording the MIDI data so I'll assume this is working. Do you have a MIDI cable plugged from the MIDI OUT on your MIDI interface to the MIDI IN of the TD-20? Do you have the MIDISport MIDI interface selected as the only MIDI device in Options-MIDI. I'll assume you want the TD-20 to play the data you just recorded on the MIDI track in HS. You are not trying to trigger the sequences in the TD-20 or synchronize the two. You should have the MIDI setup on the TD-20 to transmit and receive (Tx/Rx=ON) Drumkit on Channel 10. See page 74 in the manual. Load Tutorial1.cwp (all MIDI) Hit play. Cooling Tech Usb Microscope Software. Does the TD20 play at all? Does the LED on the little keyboard icon in the system tray blink?

Did you 1) Press SetUp 2) Press [F1 (MIDI)] - [F1 (MIDI CH)] 3) Press [CURSOR (up/down)] to select the part you wish to set, which is Drum Kit 4) Press [CURSOR (left/right)] to select the Channel you wish to set, which is CH 10 for Drums On the TD-20 you set separate channels for Drums, Percussion, Melody, Bass and Backing1 and Backing 2. Channel 10 is almost always used for Drum in a standard MIDI file.
